Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover DIY - A Beautiful Mess
Cast Iron Skillet Handle Cover DIY - A Beautiful Mess
If you've ever cooked with cast iron before then you know two things: first, it can take a little bit to get used to the different process of care and cleaning (and how to get it to be non-stick when cooking!) and second, the handles can get really hot if you go to move the pan!! For that reason it's a good idea to have a handle cover to pull out when it's time to move or adjust the pan so you can keep your hands away from the heat.
Handmade in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in partnership with a local leatherworker, our leather skillet handle covers are made with premium American leather and were designed to protect your hands while you cook. Our cast iron handle cover is meant for stovetop use only and remains heat resistant up to 450 degrees. Starting out as a beautiful light brown, each leather cast iron handle cover will develop a unique patina over time. Each skillet handle cover is stamped with the Lancaster wagon logo.
